Mary Immaculate College is inviting applications for a new scholarship scheme designed to support students who are International Protection Applicants, refugees, and migrants wishing to apply for an undergraduate programme at MIC.
Four scholarships—consisting of an annual stipend of €3,000 and a full fee waiver—for undergraduate study at MIC will be awarded by the MIC Office of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Interculturalism (EDII) through a merit-based open competition.
Prof. Lorraine McIlrath, Director of EDII at MIC, said the College is proud to launch the new scheme, which will complement the existing MIC Postgraduate University of Sanctuary Scholarship Programme.

One of the key criteria is that applicants have to have resided in the state for less than 36 months out of the last 60 months and eligible pathways include Leaving Certificate Examinations, FETAC/PLC courses and Access courses including the Pre-University Programme. Applicants can apply using an online form and send supporting documentation via email; the closing date for submissions is 31 July 2024.
