On Friday 26 April (11am-1pm) Mary Immaculate College (MIC) will welcome hundreds of students to MIC Limerick as part of the MIC Taster Sessions series of events. The opportunity for attendees to sit-in on a ‘taster lecture’ of their choice has seen this event grow in popularity each year with students from all over the country attending.
According to Dr Patrick Cosgrove, Student Recruitment Officer at MIC; ‘Giving potential students an insight into what they can expect when they begin a programme of study at MIC is at the core of the MIC Taster Sessions. The more applicants to the College are exposed to college life before actually entering the first-year of their programme of study the more they can expect to transition more easily to third-level. The MIC Limerick Taster Session will be of particular interest to current leaving certificate students in helping them make their final decision on what programmes to include on their CAO Application form and is open to mature students and those seeking to progress from further education routes to third-level study.’
Attending the Taster Session is also a great opportunity to experience the community spirit that exists in MIC. Current students cite the ‘home-from-home feel’ and ‘close knit community’ at MIC as one of the factors that sets it apart from other colleges. The student experience at MIC is further enhanced by the varied social, sporting and cultural activities at the College. MIC offers a broad selection of ‘clubs and socs’ to join, spanning the arts, culture, entertainment, education, sports, welfare and charity. MIC also has a proud sporting history with students involved in a variety of sporting activity including GAA, rugby, athletics, handball, soccer, rowing and more. MIC also strives to enrich the lives of students and staff through introducing art into the surroundings, hosting cultural events and fostering an atmosphere where the community can express itself.

- BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies (MI001)
- Bachelor of Arts (in conjunction with UL) (MI002)
- Bachelor of Education (MI005/06)
- BA in Early Childhood Care and Education (MI007)
- B Ed in Education and Psychology ( MI008)
