Congratulations to our PhD candidate and departmental assistant Hélène Charderon, who today delivered a paper at an international conference on ‘Radical Youth Literature and Culture’ organised by the Irish Society for the Study of Children's Literature at the Marino Institute of Education, Dublin. Hélène's paper was entitled 'A Subversive Reading of Hector Malot’s Texts for Children'. MIC was also represented by Jade Dillon from the Department of English Language and Literature, whose paper was entitled I’m your other mother: Radical Identities in Neil Gaiman’s Coraline (2002)’. Bravo à toutes deux !
