Senior Management
The College President (an tUachtarán) is Chief Executive of Mary Immaculate College and the senior management team comprises of four Vice-Presidents with different areas of responsibilities, the Deans for the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Education, and the Vice Dean of MIC Thurles.

Academic Affairs
Professor Niamh Hourigan is Vice-President of Academic Affairs and is responsible for managing the academic activity of MIC and maintaining intellectual quality of the institution’s teaching and research.

Professor Michael Healy is Vice-President for Research and oversees all aspects of the RGS (the Research Office and the Graduate School at MIC), and directs the formulation and implementation of the research and postgraduate elements of the MIC Strategic Plan and coordinates research policy.

Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Interculturalism (EDII)
Professor Lorraine McIlrath is Director of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Interculturalism and is responsible for the delivery of the College’s Gender Equality, EDII and Interculturalism strategies. This includes the commitment to the Athena Swan Charter and processes, Race Equality and other relevant aspects of gender equality work, as well as diversity, inclusion and intercultural work, and coordination of efforts to address gender-based violence and sexual harassment, University of Sanctuary Programme within a coherent and cohesive EDII context.

Faculty of Arts
Professor William Leahy is Dean of Arts and is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Faculty of Arts and the management of its 14 departments across two campuses. He oversees a diverse range of programmes spanning undergraduate, taught and research masters, and doctoral programmes. He is the link between the Faculty and the Executive Team.

Professor Emer Ring serves as the Dean of Education, Early Childhood, and Teacher Education at Mary Immaculate College where she oversees a diverse range of programs spanning early childhood, primary, post-primary, special education and doctoral programmes while also driving research and policy development in inclusive and special education.

Michael Keane is Vice-President of Administration & Finance.
As the Chief Financial Officer, he oversees the areas of Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Estates & Sustainability, Health & Safety, Library and capital development projects that support the advancement of the College’s academic mission.
